Neal Frederick Brady, born on May 16, 1951, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on Highway 149 in Gunnison, Colorado, on February 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. A man of many talents and interests, Neal was a Heavy Equipment Operator and Mechanic for Gunnison County, where he used his skills and dedication to serve the community.

Neal graduated from high school in Whitmore Lake, Michigan, and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1970 to 1973. His love for the outdoors was evident in his hobbies; he enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing, as well as working on and collecting old cars.

Neal was known not only for his mechanical expertise but also for his infectious personality. He had a unique gift for storytelling, often captivating those around him with his jokes and lighthearted banter. His ability to make others laugh will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Neal is survived by his son, Neal Duane Brady; his sisters, Doreen Matteson, Janis Shirey, Linda Hawkes (Howard); brother, Lloyd Brady; two grandsons and two step granddaughters. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Pam Strickland Brady; his son, Brian Brady; and his brother, Keith Brady; his parents, Robert Duane Brady and Ruth Jean Rieve Brady. Neal’s legacy of warmth and humor will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
